I pulled the battery out and checked it with my voltmeter, and it's right about 12V, but the UPS doesn't seem to like it. I have a (refurbished) APC Back-UPS LS 500 I've been using for a year and a half or so, and recently when the power's been crappy (thanks to bad drivers.) I've noticed it's no longer doing the thing I bought it do to, namely, provide 'uninterrupted power.' So, I dutifully downloaded the (crappy) APC software, which pointed out to me that the 'Replace Battery' light was flashing deep under my desk, and that it thinks that there's no battery connected. ![]()
